Name tile for Mother’s Day

Name tile for Mother’s Day gift is super easy and very inexpensive!

I love making gifts for family, friends and of course customers!!

There is something about receiving a handmade item for a gift. For some reason I appreciate it so much more!

Would you love to learn how to make a Name Tile for Mother’s Day gift? Keep reading!

Name tile for Mothers’s Day supplies needed:

1 ceramic tile from Lowes

2 different colors of permanent vinyl from 143 Vinyl

Cutting machine (silhouette) or stencils!
Transfer tape from 143 Vinyl

Rubbing alcohol

Cotton Ball

Pin Pen (use to weed vinyl) from 143 Vinyl

hair dryer if you get air bubbles

Lets get creating!! Open Design Space and on the left hand side, you will see the shapes option. Grab the square and make a rectangle the size of your tile. mine was 12”x4”. change the color of your box so you can see your petters. this box will he deleted or moved aside when cutting your wording. Now that you have your rectangle sized to fit tour tile, type Mom. Move it onto your rectangle and size it to fit right over it. I didn’t leave a sliver, which I should have.

Next add the children and dogs names😆 My dogs are my kids too! i used the I love glitter font from DaFont. It was Free! i love free 🤷🏼‍♀️.

Size your names to fit on your rectangle. If everything looks good to you its now time to cut! Move your names off the cut grid, leave the mom, and delete the rectangle.

Send the mom through with color vinyl of your choice. Be sure before taking your mat out of the cutter that your vinyl cut all the way through. If your words cut perfect and you can lift a piece of one of the letters you are ready to remove the cutting mat.

Lets get ready to cut your names out. Move MOM off of the cutting area and place your names in that area. Grab your second colored vinyl and repeat the process.
While your names are cutting, grab your cotton ball and rubbing alcohol. Rub the surface thoroughly and let dry.

Grab your cut vinyl and weed your words out. Place your transfer tape on the mom. Rub it on good so you know your letters stuck to the transfer tape. slowly remove the backing of your vinyl, mom should be adhered to the transfer tape.
Line your letters up with the top and side of the tile. Rub from one side to another to try to eliminate air bubbles. This is the hard part! After rubbing, slowly peel the transfer tape off the letters. Be sure to do this slow because you can easily rip your vinyl.

Grab your names and repeat the process. Carefully place your names right on top of MOM, rub really well and very slowly peel the transfer tape off.

If by chance you have bubbles, grab a pin, poke a little hole in it, smooth it with your finger. Grab your hair dryer and go over it. Don’t do it in the same spot for too long, you will melt your vinyl.

DIY Easter Egg Wreath

DIY Easter Egg Wreath on a budget
DIY Easter Egg Wreath on a budget

Who doesn’t love adorable and cheap? Well the DIY Easter Egg wreath on a budget is going to give you great results for your door or window. This wreath is adorable and very cheap to create!

Supplies needed for your DIY Easter Egg Wreath:

  • 2~ 14” wire wreath frames from Dollar tree
  • Basket grass from the Dollar Tree
  • Plastic Easter Eggs from the Dollar Tree
  • Glue gun, super glue or E6000
  • Floral wire or ribbon This is to secure the frames together
  • Bow if you can make it have one on hand.
  • Cord for a hanger

Lay your first wreath frame flat.

Glue grass to the frame.

Next glue eggs to the grass.

Add glue to the top of your eggs if they are able to touch the top frame.

Add the top frame.  Secure the top and bottom frame with floral wire. You could also use fake moss, real looking grass.

Add the cord on the back so you can hang on the door.

Glue your bow to the top, bottom or one of the sides, which ever you prefer.

You have an adorable DIY Easter Egg wreath on a budget!
Do you like the farmhouse look? You could also use your imagination and use different variations. Try fake moss instead of the purple Easter basket grass, maybe paint the eggs to give them a rustic look and add chicken wire to secure your wreath frames. Using chicken wire is a little more difficult, I would recommend using gloves, so you do not cut yourself. Be sure to grab wore cutters. When using wire, also be mindful of hiding the ends if the wire so you don’t prick your fingers when hanging, nor scratching your door or glass.

Thank you for stopping by! i will be adding more DIY posts in the near future. Don’t be shy… if you have any questions or comments, please leave them below and I will respond in a timely fashion.

Homemade Cheese Sauce #Recipe

Homemade Cheese Sauce can be used on anything and is loved by everyone!

Have you ever been to a restaurant that had that amazing cheese sauce accompanied by chips?!

Here is the recipe to make your own homemade cheese sauce!

Ingredients (makes about 2 servings)

2 Tablespoons of Whole Milk (this is what I love)

3-4 Slices of Kraft American Cheese

1 Tablespoon of butter

Add 3 slices of cheese, butter and milk.

Start cooking in your small pan on low heat. Steadily store until everything is melted together. Depending on the consistency you would love, you can add more cheese for thickness.

You can also add a tad bit of milk occasionally to make it less thick.

Be sure to keep an eye on it because you do not want it to boil.
The longer you keep it warm and stir, the thicker it will get.

Your Homemade Cheese Sauce is done!

If you would like it for taco night, you can add chili’s, salsa etc. Depending on what you add to your homemade cheese sauce, you will of course have to add more milk or cheese for the consistency you desire.

DIY Door Swag Gift On a Budget.

DIY Door Swag gift on a budget is super easy, fun and affordable! All supplies except the glue gun are from the Dollar Tree

Supplies you will need:

2~ Mini Christmas Trees

zip ties

scissors

hot glue gun

3~4 rolls of assorted ribbons

floral picks

One pipe cleaner if you are creating your own bow.

Take the trees out of the box, remove the plastic bottom and discard.

Put the two bottoms together side by side and zip tie. Be sure to leave space to add the bow. Cut the ends of the Christmas trees off.

Fluff out the branches and start your bow! You can create your own bow, or purchase one of those from the Dollar Tree as well.

Add your bow with your pipe cleaner to the center of your Swag. Be sure to twist it on very tight. Fluff your bow out..

Now you are going to start adding ribbon from the top of your Swag with the branches from your tree. I added ribbon about every four inches. Keep going all the way down one side and then continuing up the other side to the top. Your diy door Swag gift is taking shape! Are you excited yet?

Now you are going to cut pieces of ribbon at about six inches, place two separate designs together, fold the ends and cut to create duck tails at the ends. Find the center of the ribbons and add them on the door Swag gift where you want to fill in some blank spots on the sides.

Now add your floral picks or any decorations that you would like to add to the top and bottom of your diy door Swag gift.

Diy Door Swag Gift on a budget can be the talk of the town when your family member or friend hangs it on their door.
